9. Worldwide FM - Gilles Peterson
Started by the DJ, broadcaster, and tastemaker Worldwide FM and record label owner Gilles Peterson, Worldwide FM is a global music station featuring a mix of jazz, soul, electronic, and world music. Shows are curated by both esteemed and upcoming artists and DJs, including the likes of Francois K and Tash LC. The station sadly had to pause its daily live broadcasts in 2022, but you can still catch a live show on an ad-hoc basis, as well as catch up on the hundreds of shows from their back-catalogue.

Featuring a mix of songs selected by Lorde that have shaped her life and reflect her past experiences, the station is described by the singer as “like stepping into my brain”. Listeners receive a candid, unfiltered glimpse of Lorde’s musical journey, all propped up by her own personal commentary. Launched in 2022, the broadcast is available worldwide on Sonos Radio, with episode archives and samples available on Mixcloud.
7. Shade 45 – Eminem
Launched by Eminem, Shade 45 on SiriusXM is a commercial-free hip-hop channel ready for you to lose yourself in. It’s known for playing uncensored tracks and featuring shows hosted by artists like Lord Sear and Sway Calloway.
6. Radio Margaritaville - Jimmy Buffet
Started by Jimmy Buffett, Radio Margaritaville on SiriusXM is a reflection of his laid-back, island-inspired music. Buffett sadly passed away in late 2023, however his legacy lives on through the station as SiriusXM has continued to broadcast the channel in tribute. The station plays Jimmy's past hits alongside other tropical and rock tunes.
5. Rock The Bells Radio - LL Cool J
If you constantly crave classic, timeless hip-hop, do not fear - LL Cool J’s radio is here. Started in 2018 and named after the rapper’s foundational 1985 anthem, Rock The Bells is dedicated to broadcasting golden-era hip-hop tracks. With their three shows, listeners can tune in to megamixes from the electronic music duo.It runs via its Mixlr channel and archival platform (AE_LIVE). A must-listen for anyone with an interest in the history of electronic music, WARP, and the UK’s contribution.
3. Openlab - Robert Miles
Founded in 2013 by the legendary electronic composer Robert Miles, Openlab was “conceived specifically to showcase the best in innovative yet accessible music and visual art.” Since Miles’ death from cancer in 2017, Openlab has been under the stewardship of rave pioneer, Quentin Chambers. Openlab continues to broadcast electronic and alternative music to the world via its website, and to Ibiza via FM.
2. Third Man Public Address System Radio – Jack White
Available exclusively on SONOS, Third Man Public Address System is the radio station arm of Jack White’s Third Man Records. Started in lockdown but still going strong, the station focuses on rare and eclectic tracks, often from White's own collections. Fancy a sneak preview?
