For nearly two decades, Fuse FM has been a vital part of student life, broadcasting from state-of-the-art studios in the heart of the Students' Union. Its mission is to be a testing ground for students, a place to develop real-world skills, build confidence, and create a portfolio. The station is entirely run by student volunteers, covering everything from heavy political discussions to the newest hip-hop, fostering collaboration and creativity.
Managing a station with over 150 members and 77 different shows presents a huge logistical challenge. Fuse FM needed a platform that was incredibly easy for new students to learn, yet robust enough to handle a non-stop, 24/7 schedule. The technology had to be "transparent," allowing students to focus entirely on their content and editorial skills, not on complex technical issues.
